Already storing files on Walrus? Whether you’re using Seal for encryption or keeping files public, you can connect that data to Zark Lab and instantly unlock Zark AI’s powerful search and analysis capabilities. Your files stay exactly where they are on Walrus. Zark Lab simply connects to your existing storage and adds an intelligent layer on top.

What Zark AI Search Can Do With Your Walrus Data

Once your Walrus storage is connected to Zark Lab, you can search across all your files using natural language. Ask questions about your documents, get summaries of long reports, or find that one file you vaguely remember from months ago. Zark AI handles documents, spreadsheets, images, audio, and video, with automatic transcription for media files. Organize everything with nested folders, favorites, and tags, then find it instantly with search that works across both file names and contents. Your decentralized Walrus storage continues working exactly as before, now supercharged with Zark AI.

Why This Works

When you upload files to Walrus, your data lives on a decentralized storage network, not on any single application’s servers. Each file gets a unique Blob ID that acts as its permanent address on the network. This means your files exist independently of any specific app. Zark Lab can read and index those same files using your Blob IDs without moving or copying anything. You’re simply connecting Zark Lab to data you already own.

What You’ll Need

For public (unencrypted) files, you just need your Blob IDs. These are the unique identifiers for each file on Walrus, and you can usually export them from your current platform’s dashboard or settings. For private (Seal-encrypted) files, you’ll need your Blob IDs plus your Sui wallet. Seal uses wallet-based encryption, so connecting your wallet authorizes Zark Lab to decrypt and index your private files. For other encryption methods, you’ll need your vault password or exported private key in hex format, depending on how you set things up originally.

How to Connect

1

Get your Blob IDs

Most Walrus-compatible applications let you export Blob IDs from a dashboard, API endpoint, or data export feature. If there’s no obvious export option, check the network tab in your browser’s developer tools while viewing your files. The Blob IDs appear in the API responses.
2

Go to the connector portal

Head to the Zark Lab connector portal at zarklab.ai/connect to get started. You’ll create a Zark Lab account if you don’t have one yet.
3

Import your file references

Paste Blob IDs directly into the input field for a handful of files, or upload a CSV/JSON file for bulk imports. For public files, Zark Lab fetches the metadata immediately and adds them to your workspace.
4

Authorize access (if encrypted)

If you’re working with encrypted files, you’ll need to authorize access. For Seal-encrypted files, connect your Sui wallet to authorize decryption. For other encryption methods, enter your vault key or password. This is a one-time setup. Zark Lab securely stores your credentials so you can access your encrypted files going forward.
5

Start using Zark AI

Once that’s done, you’re ready to go. Your Walrus files are now connected to Zark Lab. Open the dashboard, and Zark AI is ready to search, analyze, and organize your data.

Common Questions

No. Your files stay exactly where they are on Walrus. Connecting to Zark Lab just registers your Blob IDs so Zark AI can access and search them. Nothing is duplicated or transferred.
Yes. Since your files live on Walrus independently, you can access them through multiple platforms at the same time. Just note that metadata changes like renaming files on one platform won’t sync to another.
Absolutely. Your encrypted files remain encrypted with their original keys on Walrus. When you connect your Sui wallet to Zark Lab, we use the same decryption process Seal uses. The underlying encryption is unchanged.
For most users with access to a Blob ID export, not at all. The import wizard walks you through everything. If you need to extract Blob IDs manually, our support team is happy to help.
