File Operations

OperationDescription
Uploading FilesUpload files using drag-and-drop or the file picker. Multiple files can be uploaded at once.

Supported formats include:
- Documents: PDF, Word, Markdown
- Spreadsheets: CSV, Excel
- Images and video
- Audio files
- Code files

After upload, files are indexed for search and become available for AI interaction.
Organizing FilesCreate folders to organize content by Project, Team, Time period, or Use case. Folders can be nested and reorganized at any time. Folder structure does not affect how AI analyzes files—it only impacts organization.
Renaming FilesFiles can be renamed at any time. Changes take effect immediately and do not affect file content or history.
Moving FilesFiles can be moved between folders. Moving a file does not affect its processing state or metadata.
Deleting FilesDeleted files are moved to Trash, where they remain recoverable for 30 days. Files deleted from Trash are permanently removed.

Tags

Tags enable cross-folder organization. Tags added by one team member are visible to everyone in the workspace. Use tags to:
  • Group related files across folders
  • Mark priority or status
  • Create shared categories
Tags are used for search and discovery. See AI Auto-Tagging for how automatic tagging works.

Shared Access

Files added to a workspace are immediately available to all members with access. They can be:
  • Placed into shared folders
  • Tagged for discovery
  • Used in AI queries and analysis
Access follows workspace permissions. See Permissions & Roles for details.
